Seam Tape™

Ready to Coat Seam Sealing Tape

Sealoflex Seam Tape™ is a flexible polyester fabric laminated to gray, butyl adhesive sealant.

Uses

• As a seam sealer on metal roofs
• As a flashing material around roof penetrations
• As a seam sealer for metal copings, flashings and accessories

Advantages

• Adheres instantly and is ready to coat
• Excellent low temperature flexibility and adhesion
• Adhesive is asphalt and solvent free
• Remains flexible

Surface Preparation

Surfaces must be dry and free of dust, loosely adhering particles, oil or grease.

Application

Peel off the release liner. Take care to apply the tape accurately the first time as trying to remove and reapply may damage the tape and the roof surface.  Press down firmly starting at the center and working towards the outside edge, removing bubbles. Edges must have no openings or fishmouths. Once the tape is firmly and correctly in place, the product is ready for over coating.

Precautions

Overcoat with Sealoflex Finish Coat™ within 7 days of application as prolonged exposure to ultra violet light will deteriorate the fabric backing.

Do not stretch during application
