ReflectoWhite™

Highly Reflective Waterproof & Protective Roof Coating

ReflectoWhite™ is a water-borne, single component roof coating. It is a tough, flexible material, which displays good UV and Ozone resistance. ReflectoWhite™ is used as a protective coating to existing roofing materials such as single plies, modified asphalt membranes and metal roofs.

Uses

ReflectoWhite™ is used:
• To provide a highly reflective surface over roof surfaces of all types
• For coating of all types of roofs substrates
• To provide protection and add life expectancy to existing roof surfaces

Advantages

ReflectoWhite™ displays the following advantages:
• Energy Star Rating
• Ultra Violet and Ozone resistant
• Mildew and Algae resistant
• Expands and contracts with the roof surface
• FP&L Approved
• Seven year warranty
• LEED Compliant
• Excellent solar reflectance: 86%
• Reduces cooling costs
• Fast curing
• Excellent low temperature flexibility
• Adheres to almost any roof substrate including stucco, concrete, metal, wood, asphalt, foam, barrel tile, PVC, TPO, EPDM, etc. (Priming may be necessary.)

Surface Preparation

Surfaces must be free of dust, loosely adhering particles, oil, grease and previously applied incompatible coatings.
Priming
No priming is necessary on unpainted wooden surfaces, asphalt, weathered galvanized steel or non-ferrous metal. Unprotected iron or steel must first be treated with Rust-X 2020™ and then primed with Metal Etch Primer™. Chalky surfaces, concrete and masonry must be primed first with Sealobond Primer™. EPDM rubber and Hypalon® must be primed first with EPDM Primer™.

Application

Apply coating by brush, roller, or spray equipment in two uniform coats at 100 sq. ft. per gallon per coat. (Granular surface at 80 sq. ft. per gallon per coat.) Allow the first coat to completely dry (minimum 2 hours) and apply the second coat perpendicular to the first.

Cleaning

Uncured ReflectoWhite™ can be rinsed with water. Cured ReflectoWhite™ can be dissolved with Quickclean™ and rinsed with water.

Precautions

Do not apply ReflectoWhite™ if rain is imminent. Reflectowhite™ will not cure when the ambient humidity is 100% e.g., during periods of dew or fog. Curing will commence again once the humidity drops below 100%. Light misting the surface of the roof to lower the surface temperature is recommended to prevent "flash drying" of the coating.

Check adhesion to previously painted surfaces as some surfaces may require special treatment or priming. Contact our technical department for specific methods of testing.

Do not thin or dilute.
